Governance
The governance of the police pension scheme has 3 elements:
- The Scheme Manager
- The Pension Board
- The Scheme Advisory Board
Scheme Manager
The Northern Ireland Policing Board is the scheme manager of the police pensions scheme and as such is responsible for managing and administering the scheme.
Police Pension Board
The Police Pension Board is responsible for assisting the Northern Ireland Policing Board as scheme manager of the police pension scheme.
Police Pension Scheme Advisory Board
The Police Pension Scheme Advisory Board provides advice to the Department of Justice on the desirability of any changes to the police pensions scheme.
