The Parole Commissioners for Northern Ireland (PCNI) are independent ministerial appointments who make decisions on the release of all life sentence prisoners in Northern Ireland.
With effect from 1 May 2012 the PCNI have been re-positioned to the Northern Ireland Courts & Tribunals Service, an Agency within the Department of Justice.
