This bulletin expands on the Legal aid Statistics for Northern Ireland up to March 2026, originally published in May 2026. It provides more detailed insights into the utilisation of legal aid by applicants and suppliers across Northern Ireland.
While the primary focus is the 2025/26 financial year, comparisons are provided, where possible, with data from 2019/20. This baseline year coincides with the introduction of the Legal Services Agency Northern Ireland's digital case management system (LAMS), implemented as part of a wider organisational transformation programme.
