Department of Justice Public Procurement Activity, Contracts and Prompt Payment Data
Background
The Executive approved a new Public Procurement Policy Statement in June 2025. This Statement outlines the Executive’s Procurement Policy and Strategy to ensure public procurement is delivered efficiently and leveraged to support people, planet and prosperity in line with the Programme for Government.
The Executive has agreed four overarching principles to embed the appropriate culture, behaviour and practice and ensure public spend achieves Best Value for Money for citizens. These principles are: Transparency, Accessibility, Social Value and Efficiency. Under each of these Principles there are a number of mandatory Strategic Objectives that the Department is committed to achieve and which are assessed against. Furthermore, specific reporting requirements in respect of the Transparency principle are provided below.
Transparency Principle 1
Transparency Principle 1 requires that there will be visibility of procurement pipeline opportunities over an 18-month horizon.
The DoJ Procurement Pipeline Report is published below and outlines anticipated tendering opportunities over the next 18 months for goods and services valued above £500,000 and works valued above £2 million.

Transparency Principle 4
Transparency Principle 4 requires that there will be transparency of any variances between the original contract value and actual spend. This applies to goods, services and works contracts over the UK Thresholds.
The DoJ Contracts data is published below and covers open contracts awarded since 1 April 2025 and includes a running total of actual spend.
Transparency Principle 6
Transparency Principle 6 requires that Departments publish details to demonstrate compliance with prompt payment of contractor invoices. A link has been included below.
