The Reports of the Appointed Person for Northern Ireland pursuant to sections 195I, 291 and 303F of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) and article 103H of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (External Requests and Orders) Order 2005 are laid before the Northern Ireland Assembly by the Department of Justice.

Details

The Appointed Person for Northern Ireland scrutinises the use of certain POCA powers to search for cash which can be exercised without prior judicial approval. The powers are a valuable tool in the fight against crime and their use is closely monitored by the Appointed Person for Northern Ireland.
