Live links consultation outcome - summary of responses

The Department of Justice ran a targeted consultation from 20 April to 1 June 2020 to seek the views of key stakeholders and interested parties regarding proposals to amend the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 (PACE).
The consultation asked respondents to consider the use of live link technology for:
- reviews of police detention;
- extension of PACE detention by a superintendent;
- extension of PACE detention by the courts; and
- interview of a detained person.
