The Department of Justice has today launched a public consultation of proposed changes to the Northern Ireland Crime Survey.

This bulletin outlines the findings from the latest (6th) sweep of the Northern Ireland Victim and Witness Survey (NIVAWS).

Since the end of January 2010 MARACs (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferencing) have been operational in each of the policing districts across Northern Ireland, with 10 MARACs currently in operation.

This bulletin provides information on the one year proven reoffending rate for offenders who received a non-custodial disposal at court, a diversionary disposal or who were released from custody during 2014-15.

This bulletin is based on findings from the Northern Ireland Crime Survey (NICS). 

The bulletin presents information on first time entrants (or, disposals relating to first offences) to the criminal justice system disaggregated by age, gender, offence category and disposal type for 2015/16.
