  • Consultation on proposed changes to the Northern Ireland Crime Survey November 2017

    Topics:
    • Statistics and Research

    Date published: 9 November 2017

The Department of Justice has today launched a public consultation of proposed changes to the Northern Ireland Crime Survey.

The Northern Ireland Crime Survey is an annual, face-to-face interview survey commissioned on behalf of the Department of Justice to identify levels of, and public attitudes to crime and justice. It is used for a variety of publications, including two that have achieved National Statistics accreditation: Experiences of Crime and Perceptions of Crime.

Stakeholders within the Department, and the wider Justice community, have worked with Departmental statisticians to design the revised survey and ensure it meets Departmental and PfG priorities. The Department is now keen to hear feedback from a wider audience.

The consultation is due to run until Tuesday 9th January 2018
