Department’s response to consultation on discount rate parametersThe Government Actuary is to begin a review of the personal injury discount rate for Northern Ireland on 1 July 2024. The methodology for calculating the rate is set out in Schedule C1 to the 1996 Act. The Department may, by regulations, adjust some of the parameters of this methodology. We are seeking views on the need or otherwise to do so.
