This document is an interim revision of the YJA Child Protection Policy and Procedures 2007, to bring procedures in line with developments in safeguarding structures and practice.
The Youth Justice Agency is committed to promoting the best interests of the child and contributing to the safeguarding and protection of children and young people. This document details our safeguarding procedures to guide the practice of Youth Justice Agency staff and others involved in the work of the Agency.
