Reducing offending among women

The aim of the refreshed strategy is to measure progress, reflect on current developments and to further promote and embed a gender-informed approach throughout the criminal justice system. The strategy seeks to meet the needs of women offenders in a holistic way which takes account of their individual circumstances and provides support to challenge offending behaviour.
