Correction Notice: 28/11/2025 – A labelling error has been discovered in the incoming correspondence figure for the Official Solicitors Office (Section 6 High Court in the pdf and Table 5 Total business in the Family Division of the High Court in the ods).  The previously quoted patient figure included minor cases. The correct labelling and figures for the complete time series can be found in the July to September 2025 report and tables. The annual Judicial Statistics Publications are unaffected.

Correction Notice 21/08/2026 - An issue has been identified in the coding of bail disposal applications.  As a result, not all bail disposal applications were classified correctly, leading to an undercount in the number of bail disposals from 2022 to 2025. This amounted to approximately 200 disposals in 2022 and between 600 and 700 per year from 2023 to 2025. The undercount primarily affected the number of bail refusals reported.  The coding issued has been corrected, and the affected data have been revised in the April to June 2026 quarterly spreadsheet. The issue is limited to Table 4 and does not affect the statistical bulletins. The annual Judicial Statistics spreadsheets have also been revised. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
