Legal representatives will be aware that the Commission had “restated” the exemptions which updated obsolete legislative references contained in Regulation 17(9)(a) and (f) which refer to family legislation and social security benefits.
The restated Statutory Charge regulation will affect cases where a certificate was granted on or after 1st April 2010, and this guidance offers further clarification.
