    Topics:
    • Policing and community safety,
    • Criminal history disclosure

    Date published: 10 February 2016

This guidance provides information on the operation of the Criminal Records Filtering Review Scheme in respect of criminal record disclosure certificates issued by AccessNI. The scheme applies in defined circumstances, if a person believes the disclosure of information on a standard or an enhanced certificate to be disproportionate.

The short guides are designed to provide accessible information on Northern Ireland’s criminal records disclosure regime in general, and on the filtering review scheme, in particular. They are intended to be a useful source of information for anyone accessing, or interested in, the independent review process.
