Court Fees 2026-2029 - Consultation Response Report

In 2025, the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS) launched a public consultation on proposed changes to court fees, including annual increases; the consultation period lasted 13 weeks, closing on 1 August 2025.
Thank you to those who responded to the Consultation for taking the time to share their views.
NICTS has now analysed all responses received and has published a Consultation Response Report, highlighting the key issues and comments raised by respondents, together with the NICTS response and proposed way forward.
It is anticipated that the changes to court fees will take effect on 1 April 2026.
