The Department of Justice has responsibility for the Health and Safety of Explosives in Northern Ireland and there are Regulations which deal with the carriage of explosives.
The purpose of the Regulation is to protect everyone involved in the carriage of explosives (such as consignors or carriers) or those who might become involved (such as member of the emergency services and public).
