The Department of Justice has published a new Restorative Justice Practice Standards and Accreditation Framework. This has been developed to ensure that restorative justice processes are delivered with coherence, consistency and equity. It also ensures that accredited restorative justice practitioners, who may deliver services on behalf of the criminal justice system, have the knowledge, skills and competence to practice and reflect the values and beliefs considered necessary to ensure that restorative justice processes are safe, fair, inclusive and ethical.
