Justice Minister Naomi Long has congratulated all those across the justice system who have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours list.

The public service and contributions of individuals working in the Department of Justice, Northern Ireland Prison Service, Police Service of Northern Ireland, Office of the Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, RUC George Cross Foundation and Emergency Search and Rescue Service have been acknowledged.
Honours being bestowed include Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), Medallists of the Order of the British Empire (BEM) and the King’s Police Medal (KPM).
Justice Minister Naomi Long said:
“Much of the day-to-day work that goes on across the justice system to deliver the vital services we provide goes unrecognised. The awarding of these honours recognises the incredible service people provide to protect the public, support victims and tackle reoffending.”
