Justice Minister announces details of independent review

The Justice Minister has published the terms of reference for an independent review into the circumstances relating to the compassionate temporary release of Gary Anderson.
In a Written Ministerial Statement to the Assembly, Naomi Long has also announced that Phil Copple, formerly Director General of Operations in HM Prison and Probation Service, has agreed to lead the review.
In addition, the Commissioner Designate for Victims and Witnesses of Crime, Geri Hanna, has confirmed she is available to provide advice to ensure that relevant issues are considered from the perspective of victims.
