  • Ford condemns those behind security alert in Larne

    Date published: 6 March 2016

Justice Minister, David Ford has commented on the security incident at Carnfunnock Country Park, near Larne.

The PSNI has confirmed the seizure of bomb making components and explosives.

David Ford said: "Those responsible for leaving these munitions have no regard for human life and are motivated by a need to create fear and disruption in our community.

“Thankfully, due to the swift actions of the public and the professionalism and expertise of security forces, a potentially serious incident has been averted. I commend all involved for their vigilance."
