Chairperson and Board member sought for the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT)

The Department of Justice is seeking to appoint a Chairperson and one Board member for the Police Rehabilitation and Retraining Trust (PRRT).
PRRT is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) of the Department of Justice (DoJ). It provides psychological therapies, physiotherapy, coaching and development, training and education programmes (in accordance with assessed needs) to support police officers retiring from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), or the Royal Ulster Constabulary GC (RUC GC) and other Justice Partners.
The Chair and Board member are expected to be appointed in September 2026 for a term of up to four years.
The time commitment for the Chairperson and Board member will be dependent upon the prevailing business needs of the Trust. However, it is anticipated that the Chairperson Board member will be occupied on Trust business for approximately 12 days per annum. It is expected that the Chairperson and Board member will attend seminars, functions and other events outside normal office hours.
The Chairperson and Board Members are remunerated. Remuneration for the Chairperson is £10,000 per annum and £5,000 per annum for the Board member.
