The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minster is a fully functioning department of the Northern Ireland administration with a wide range of responsibilities

At St Andrews the Government gave a commitment to work with business, trade unions and ex-prisoner groups to produce guidance for employers in the private and public sector.

This voluntary guidance is the product of extensive work between Government departments, representatives of the Confederation of British Industry in Northern Ireland, the Irish Congress of Trades Unions and ex-prisoner groups.
