Legal Aid Management System (LAMS)
LAMS includes a messaging function which allows suppliers to contact LSANI at anytime. The messaging function must be used for any questions or issues relating to cases or requests in LAMS. By using the message functionality in LAMS there is a record of the enquiry for both the practitioner and Agency.
Business area specific contact details
Appeals@lsani.gov.uk - for use by practitioners should they need to contact the Appeals Unit in a matter where the use of LAMS messaging is unavailable or would not be appropriate. This must not be used for tabling requests.
CARB@lsani.gov.uk – for queries relating to cases selected as part of the Practitioner File Review.
DebtRecovery@lsani.gov.uk – for queries regarding Statutory Charge, Party and Party correspondence and making payment towards costs owed to the Legal Services Agency.
Exceptionality.Authorities@lsani.gov.uk – for all general enquiries in relation to Exceptional Preparation and Exceptional Funding matters.
FEU@lsani.gov.uk – for queries regarding financial eligibility. Interpreters@lsani.gov.uk – for requests for authority to engage interpreting and/or translation services.
LSAaccounts@lsani.gov.uk – when a practitioner has a query in relation to a payment from Account NI practitioners must check LAMS and/or with their account administrator in the first instance. If the query cannot be resolved via LAMS or the account administrator, then contact should be made via this mailbox.
LSAFOP@lsani.gov.uk – for all enquiries about the Future Overpayment Prevention (FOP) process including representations on behalf of the Assisted Person following receipt of a Suspension/Revocation Warning Letter.
RepLowerMerit@lsani.gov.uk – for using solely for the purpose of submitting Rep Lower Urgent Hearing Forms if matters are in court within 2 working days. If a supplier has uploaded an application request on LAMS and the matter becomes urgent, then the supplier should raise a message on LAMS to alert staff.
RepHigherEmergencies@lsani.gov.uk – for only exceptionally urgent Rep Higher matters which cannot be submitted on LAMS or Rep Higher matters submitted on LAMS which become urgent while awaiting a decision. For further details refer to LSA Circular 25/19.
StatutoryTimeLimits@lsani.gov.uk – for requests for an extension of the statutory time limit or general correspondence relating to claims submitted outside the statutory time limit, including requests to review decisions already made under the Late Claims Policy.
TabledItems@lsani.gov.uk – for use when a practitioner wishes to submit a tabling request to the Agency in respect of a Representation Higher civil appeal.
