Scope of legal aid

Consultation opened on 20 October 2014. Closing date 30 January 2015.

This consultation details various options for the reform of the Scope of Civil Legal Aid. The options seek to balance what Government should be expected to fund against what a privately paying client would reasonably pay.

Consultation description

The resource available to support publicly funded legal services is not unlimited and there is a need to prioritise the increasingly scarce funds available.
