    Consultation description

The proposals relate to magistrates’ courts fees only. Two of the options are derived from the current system by removing provisions for a higher guilty plea fee and “Very High Cost Case” fees. The third option is an adaptation of the system that exists in Scotland where, primarily, a single fee is payable. The consultation ends on 8 February 2013.
