    Summary

    This reform will improve accountability and predictability over subject legal aid expenditure, which, in turn, will help the Department ensure legal aid funding is available to those who need it most.

    The proposed reforms to statutory charge registration will improve the transparency of the registration process, and improve administrative efficiency.
