This consultation paper is seeking views on:
• creating a specific offence to capture patterns of coercive and controlling behaviour in intimate relationships; and,
• whether current arrangements can be enhanced by the establishment of a Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme in Northern Ireland.

Consultation description
The Department do not intend to hold any public meetings on this matter but would urge groups with an interest in the topic to hold events. The Department would be happy to provide information for these events through Officials’ attendance.
