This is a consultation on an Alternative Method for Funding Money Damages Claims. In September 2010 the Minister of Justice announced a review which examined how people could best be helped to secure access to justice in a cost effective manner.

One of the recommendations of the Review was that most money damages cases should be removed from the scope of legal aid, provided that an alternative means of securing and improving access to justice could be implemented.
