What is Rural Crime Partnership?
The Rural Crime Partnership (RCP) is a networking, information sharing and problem-solving forum established to help address rural agri-crime. It is an equal partnership, with each partner working together and playing a role, utilising information more efficiently to gain a wider understanding of the needs of agricultural business owners and sharing crime prevention information across the partnership. Our mission is to:
“Work together to raise awareness of rural crime, to engage with and support our partners and rural communities by adopting a partnership approach to rural crime prevention.”
Chaired by the Department of Justice, the RCP aims to provide a forum for partners to share information and collaborate on initiatives to prevent, reduce and tackle rural crime. It reinforces important messages of crime prevention and awareness and supports the activities of those involved in making rural communities across Northern Ireland feel safer, as well as assisting them in the protection and preservation of their assets.
The following organisations are represented on the RCP:
Department of Justice (DoJ)
Police Service of Northern Ireland
Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs
Policing and Community Safety Partnerships
Ulster Farmers’ Union
National Farmers’ Union Mutual
Federation of Small Businesses
