The Northern Ireland Prison Service Application process is designed to manage research performed on behalf of the organisation. or involving participation from either our staff or people within our care, in a co-ordinated manner.

If you have a proposal for research that requires access to our establishments, please provide an initial outline, including the research subject and your requirements, to the NIPS Research Applications mailbox research.NIPS@justice-ni.gov.uk
Initial consideration will be given to the proposal and if considered feasible, you will be required to submit a formal application using NIPS Research Application Form
