Assessed Year in Employment
As a newly qualified social worker the Youth Justice Agency will offer you extra support to develop your skills, knowledge and competence through the ‘Assessed Year in Employment’. This ensures you have made the transition from student to employee and are competent to practise in the workplace. The agency will help newly qualified Social Workers develop specialist knowledge and skills required to work with children, families and victims in the criminal justice system.
Learning and development
The Youth Justice Agency offers rich sources of professional learning for its employees. Learning and development is continuous with the agency and consequently there is a range of accredited, formal, informal and self-directed learning opportunities available for staff.
