Appointment of NIPB Independent Board Members - Part-time
The Department of Justice is seeking to appoint six Independent Board Members to the Northern Ireland Policing Board.
The Policing Board is an independent public body established under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000. The Board is responsible for securing the maintenance of the police in Northern Ireland, and has a key role in ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient, impartial and accountable police service which will enjoy the support of all sections of the community. It consists of both political members and independent members.
Board members will be required to commit a minimum of four days per month to Policing Board business and be required to perform a representative role on behalf of the Board at a variety of events. Remuneration is £15k per annum. Travel and incidental expenses will be reimbursed for costs necessarily incurred on Policing Board business.
