The Calibration Laboratory team provide services for PSNI Road Traffic Policing - involving the installation, maintenance and calibration of their equipment for breath testing and speed detection.
Electronics casework
The Electronics Casework team performs a comprehensive range of digital and electronics forensics examinations covering most technological aspects.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones, their associated SIM cards and memory cards can be downloaded and analysed for communication data records and stored media files, both live (currently available to the user) and deleted (no longer viewable on the device). The use of multiple systems ensures the most comprehensive data recovery effort.

Damaged electronic devices
Damaged electronic devices may still provide a source of forensic evidence; the team provide a best effort reconstruction and repair service as part of the examination process. This involves work ranging from mobile phone screen replacement to complex microchip removal from a damaged SIM card.
Reported information
Reported information is presented as a Statement of Witness and if necessary, a digital sub-exhibit (Optical disk (CD/DVD) or USB portable device depending on required capacity) and attached report (subject to the quantity of data).
