Youth Justice Agency child protection

The Youth Justice Agency is committed to the protection of children and young people from abuse and seeks to achieve this by operating safe, secure and caring environments that address the needs of the child whilst reducing risk to and from others.

Safeguarding Procedures

Our Safeguarding Procedures detail the roles and responsibilities of the Agency and its staff and encourage all children, parents and representatives of other organisations who use or have contact with Agency services to be alert to and report any concerns about abuse.

These procedures were updated in June 2019.

All concerns, whether past or present, will be responded to in keeping with these principles and procedures.
